Antique Persian Lilihan
low pile, vegetable dyed
note: A high quality Lilihan with an even low pile. The sides and ends have been fully restored and preserved. This 1920s piece has a unique coral field color with accents of navy, cornflower blue, terra cotta, olive, aqua blue, burlap and sage green. An open, all over floral pattern gives this antique rug a modern aesthetic.
Lilihans are woven by Armenians in the Armenian village, Lilihan, in modern day Iran. They are known for a durable weave and high quality wool. This wool on this has a beautiful, natural luster.
